Trust in God's Faithfulness

December 13, 2023

Have you ever questioned that what God says is true? Zacharias did when the angel appeared to him and spoke about having a son. When we miss it like Zacharias did we can easily become discouraged and thing we will never get another chance. But the lesson we see from Zacharias' story in Luke 1 is that we can always find our way back into God's plan as long as we can trust in God's faithfulness.

Trust is not a blind leap into the unknown;
it's a confident step onto the promises of God.

Here are 3 alignments that must take place in order for us to trust in God's faithfulness.

1 John 5:14-15 (NKJV)

14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT)

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart;

do not depend on your own understanding.

6 Seek his will in all you do,

and he will show you which path to take.

Isaiah 55:8-11 (NKJV)

8 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,

   Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.

9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth,

   So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.

10 “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,

   And do not return there,

   But water the earth,

   And make it bring forth and bud,

   That it may give seed to the sower

   And bread to the eater,

11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;

   It shall not return to Me void,

   But it shall accomplish what I please,

   And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
